About Nicholas Davis
For starters, I am currently living in the splendid town of Willmar, Mn. I enjoy it here a lot and for the time, would rather not be living anywhere else. I have great friends, wonderful neighbors, exciting business oppourtunities, a warm house, a beautiful wife and a loving family. I am quite conservative, law abiding and a man of biblical faith. I generally will see the cup as half full and I strive to make the best out of everything no matter the situation at hand.
I am very well aquianted with computers and other technology. I have worked at two different software development agencies, dual-tasking in software development and network administration. During this time, I spent my nights as a freelancer building websites for clients. It was an outlet for me to further my knowlege even more without the bindings to a company. I was able to practice web development as well as training myself in graphic design.
Though I am very knowlegable in IT, particularily in Microsoft technology, I have chosen to continue my pursuit in furthering my knowlege as a developer. I now work at Famous Davis, where I create not only software, but also a healthy amount of websites. This decision combined my love for software development, as well as my after hour freelance work.
Tools of the Trade
I developed this website using Microsoft .Net (C# is my perferred flavor) and store all my interwebbles in a Microsoft SQL 2005 Database. I use Famous Davis' very own Europa Content Manager for creation and managment of all content you read on this website. Photoshop is the other gun on my hip, which I used to create the graphics on this website. The country photo you see on the header was taken by me using a Holga medium format camera.
