Bbalgong Tdi

Last night I successfully passed my Red Belt test in Tae Kwon Do! w00t! It was an intense test, most intense I've experienced since I started. For material, I needed to know:

Korean Terminology
Korean Counting
Korean History
American and Korean Flags information
Other Korean Oral testing stuff
30 Series (30 different combination-kicks) in three minutes
Red Belt Form

I buzzed through terminology pretty fast and without much hesitation. I kept cool and remained confident in what I could present. History is where I was lacking, but managed to remember enough! Phew!

30 series was very intense. I had to do 30 different combination kicks in three minutes. The first go-round, I was focusing too much on being fast that I made too many errors and timed out. Master gave me a 20 second breather, which from there I was to try a second time. By the time I reached the 10th combination, I was dead tired, I could hardly breathe because my mouth was so dry. Ahhh! It was nerve-wracking. I managed to make it all the way through with 2:44 on the clock, which Master Jon gave me a thumbs-up on. I was relieved, because I was kind of worried about this section.

Finally, onto the break. We had to do a double jumping front kick and break two separate boards doing so. I was able to get this completed first try. OMG it was great. I loved it. haha. In the end, I was given a Red Belt, yay.
